“Live long and prosper” may be a popular line from Star Trek, but it may as well describe the mentality ingrained into many young Asians in North America by their immigrant parents. Even the common phrases recited during Chinese New Year reflect this sort of mantra.
Business and Entrepreneurship was the main theme over the last three months at Cold Tea Collective, but it’s now time to turn the order of the Vulcan salute blessing around — transitioning from career and business prosperity to a conversation of living well.
That said, we want to introduce our new quarterly theme: Health and Wellness. And we’re not just talking about heading over to mom’s house to drink bone broth.
Cold Tea Collective’s foundation was built on being a voice for North American Asian Millennials, and that won’t change as we move to our next key theme. From December to February, our tireless editors and writers will pen articles with a focus on this topic.
From Asian health tips to personal health stories, from spiritual wellness to mental health, the ideas are endless. There will be stories on relationships and family, health foods and products, life balance and rhythms, and stories of Asian millennials who make an impact in the wellness space.
As we push forward with emphasizing health and wellness — albeit not every single article will be tied to this theme — we welcome pitches. Please submit pitches by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and provide two to three sentences detailing your article idea.
We will also feature our book club, continue with our recurring #PhotogFeature series, and provide content around holiday-centric pieces, current entertainment happenings, and opinion columns.
Subscribe to our newsletter to stay updated with all that is going on with the Collective. Your support inspires us to continue writing these stories and articles — and building a platform for conversation and connection.
