2023 Year in Review: Cold Tea Collective event highlights

As 2023 comes to an end, here’s a look back at some community events Cold Tea Collective hosted and attended this year. 

2023 was an exciting year for the Asian American and Asian Canadian community. From award-winning achievements in the entertainment industry to new community collaborations,  many positive things happened and Cold Tea Collective was there to represent! 

We’ve been busy this year, getting to know more people in our community and supporting the Asian diaspora at events across Canada and the United States. Here are some memorable event highlights from 2023.

Cold Tea Collective hosts gathering of Asian Canadian brands and e-commerce businesses in Vancouver

We hosted an intimate event in Vancouver with 50 guests in the e-commerce space or those servicing entrepreneurs. With no agenda and simply an opportunity to connect, these are some of the brands and leaders who attended our Happy Hour event for Asian Canadian e-commerce brands that you should follow and support. 

Joy Ride brings new opportunities for the Asian Canadian creative community

Vancouver is a top city for talent behind the scenes and on our screen. Cold Tea Collective and partners hosted an advanced screening and afterparty with the Asian Canadian community in at the Dr. Sun Yet Sun Garden to celebrate the local cast, creatives, and community for their roles in the film.

Cruising into nostalgia with Honda at Head in the Clouds

Cold Tea Collective covered the fifth anniversary of Head in the Clouds Music Festival with Honda. Natasha Jung, Founder and Executive Producer of Cold Tea Collective drove down memory lane exploring car culture and nostalgia. She also caught some of the top Asian talents, from Jackson Wang to NIKI.

Michelle Yeoh’s advice to the Asian diaspora after her Golden Globes win

We’re throwing it way back to January 2023 at the Golden Globes. At the ceremony, Everything Everywhere All At Once’s Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan won Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor. We were backstage to ask Michelle Yeoh what her advice is to the Asian diaspora after her monumental win.

Jeremy Lin, Simu Liu, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan and more come together to raise money for Asian Canadian youth athletics

Cold Tea Collective was courtside at the annual CCYAA Celebrity Classic in Toronto. Its highly anticipated charity basketball tournament included Jeremy Lin, Simu Liu, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, supporting youth across the Greater Toronto Area, nationally in Canada, and internationally in the United States.
