Middle East born & South Asian raised, Marushka Jessica Almeida is a queer, nonbinary, Toronto based writer, producer and ex-accountant. She's written on Homeschooled (CBC Gem), Streams Flow From a River (Fae Pictures) and other Canadian comedies that no one has seen. They're currently in pre-production on their series Get Up Aisha and SRF-funded POVme. When Marushka isn't swimming in a whirlpool of existential dread, they can be found complaining about why public nap areas don't exist.
