Katharine Chan

Katharine Chan has worked in British Columbia’s healthcare system for over a decade. She’s published scientific journals, co-authored books and presented at local and national healthcare conferences. Currently, she works at the Provincial Health Services Authority, focusing on accreditation and patient experience, engaging with clinical practitioners, and developing partnerships that enable systems-level change to provide seamless, high-quality care. Her blog, Sum on Sleeve, is a raw and honest look at her culture and upbringing, and sharing personal stories to empower others to talk about their feelings despite growing up in a culture that hides them. She’s contributed to HuffPost Canada, NextShark, and Scary Mommy.
